"Prayer Shawl Ministry"

"Prayer Shawl Ministry"
The United Memorial United Church Women (UCW) have undertaken a "Prayer Shawl Ministry" entitled "Uplifting Memories in God's Love". Ladies in the congregation are prayerfully knitting or crocheting shawls. These symbolic shawls are blessed and then given as a comfort to persons who are sick, undergoing a medical procedure, after a loss, etc or also for a happy occasion! Several shawls have already been given and those who have received them have been most appreciative and uplifted.

If you would like to become a part of this ministry you can help in 3 ways: let the office know of someone you think would appreciate one, make one (yarn can be provided), or you can make a monetary donation toward the purchase of yarn. Georgia Clark is co-ordinating this ministry and can be reached at 455-3033 for more information.
